Built within a former closet, the Sony Sushi Room consists of materials such as custom Urushi, Japanese lacquer panels, Indian cottons, New York State bluestone, reversible Tatami/carpet floors, and a Japanese lantern reinterpreted as a ceiling. The chairs are different colors to emphasize the importance of each of the five seats. Recipient of James Beard Award for “unique dining experience.”
